Food Packages

Here at the Killarney & Area Foodbank, we believe that everyone deserves dignity of choice. Rather than a standard pre-pack box, our shopping model invites each customer to personally select the items that best suit their household needs. Every two weeks, our dedicated team of volunteers is here to ensure that members of our community experiencing food insecurity have access to a thoughtful variety of nutritious food options. From farm fresh eggs, bread, fruits and vegetables to hearty proteins and wholesome nonperishables like pasta, rice, oatmeal, and soup - there is something nourishing for everyone. Families with young children are also provided vouchers redeemable at the local Boundary

Co-op Marketplace, ensuring fresh milk is never out of reach. While specific items may vary depending on availability, we do our very best to follow Canada's Food Guide and offer a well-rounded selection at every visit. And because we care for the whole person, we also carry a limited supply of hygiene items.

Harvesting Green Cabbages

The Prairie Patch

Our garden is an important part of our effort to provide fresh, nutritious produce. With the generous support of Prairie Mountain Health's Healthy Together Now Program, we were able to establish this garden and cultivate a variety of seasonal vegetables. Our dedicated volunteers work hard to maintain the garden and nurture the produce from seed to harvest. These vegetables serve to supplement the non-perishable food items we receive, allowing us to offer a well-rounded and wholesome selection of food to our customers.
