You Can Help

Be a part of the solution to food insecurity in our community by donating to the Killarney and Area Foodbank. We accept food donations of almost any type, monetary donations, and donations in kind. Your donation will help us continue our mission to provide support and assistance to those in need.

Food Donations

At the Killarney and Area Foodbank, we are committed to fighting hunger in our community. We gratefully accept food donations of nearly any type, as long as they are within their use-by date and not spoiled. Please remember to check dates before donating items. We also accept toiletries such as soap and shampoo, as we know that hygiene is just as important as nourishment.

At our Foodbank, we’re able to provide food to those in need through generous donations from the local community. We accept food donations at our location during opening hours, as well as through our food collection bins located at Boundary Co-Op (Killarney), Killarney School, Lakeside Christian School, and various churches in town. Alternatively, please contact us to arrange a time that is convenient for you. Every donation counts and helps us make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Monetary Donations

At the Killarney and Area Foodbank, we gratefully welcome monetary donations to support our mission. Your donations help us provide essential food supplies to individuals and families in need. We are happy to accept donations by cheque sent to Box 193, Killarney, Manitoba, R0K 1G0  or through e-transfers sent to killarneyfoodbank@gmail.com. Online banking provides a simple and convenient way to support our cause. A charitable receipt for income tax purposes will be given for donations of $10 or more. Alternatively, we are more than happy to arrange a time to arrange a drop off or pick up of your donation.

If you wish to donate using a credit card, Canada Helps processes all of our credit card donations, a receipt is issued by that at the time of giving.

In-Kind Donations

The Killarney and Area Foodbank is grateful for any and all donations we receive. In-kind donations provide businesses with a unique opportunity to give back to the community by donating their goods or services, in return for a tax receipt. Your contributions help us to provide essential support to those in need.

We appreciate all forms of donations that help us continue to support our community. In-kind donations are particularly helpful for building maintenance and upkeep. If you have a donation that you think would benefit our organization, please don't hesitate to contact us and let us know. We always appreciate the support of our community and are grateful for your support.
